Functional Capabilities

The following diagram provides a very high-level DNext Functional Overview. Even though many different methods and styles can be applied for presenting a functional overview, the approach taken here is aligned to the TM-Forum (ODA) Open Digital Architecture, which offers an industry-agreed blueprint and common terminology providing pragmatic transformation paths from monolithic, legacy software solutions, towards scalable, cloud-based platforms that can be orchestrated with artificial intelligence-driven analytics.

DNext platform components provide support for business and operation subsystems of large organizations presenting Engagement Management, Party Management, Core Commerce Management, and Production Management functional blocks. Within the entire ecosystem, compliant to TM-Forum open APIs, DNext components drive and trigger the Production Management block for the activation, delivery, and lifecycle management of services and resources.

From an analytical perspective, all DNext platform components emit process, operational and transactional statistic information to Intelligence Management systems making it possible for the service provider to execute appropriate business, process, and operational correlations and aggregations that yield a representation of business and operational reality.
