What is DNext?
Customer Engagement Platform by PiA
The rise of e-commerce, communication technologies, and the advent of the digital economy blended with the new operational models are profoundly changing how businesses think and operate. Today’s B2B and B2C customers expect products and services to be delivered on demand in minutes, rather than days and weeks.
Today's B2B partners expect new multi-party business alliance and partnership models to be modeled and established immediately with relevant offerings to be launched on the commercial sales catalog in days, rather than weeks.
Expectations and aspirations of customers have also changed: a more digital, self-service support model for services covering the full lifecycle from ordering, through live operation to cancellation.
Service providers must embrace increasingly sophisticated, partner-based business models and offerings: online customer engagement, product catalog, and service management, with integrated order capture, fulfillment, trouble management, remediation, and billing have become all fundamental requirements. With the old-fashioned monolithic or layered approach systems of the past, managing this complexity with the must-have operational flexibility has become more and more tangled.
The aforementioned nexus of change drivers necessitate dramatically agile, industry standards-compliant, lego style components, resulting in ready to integrate platforms for service provider IT systems, rather than the cumbersome old-fashioned application silos.
For the service providers, such a level of agile flexibility is needed not only in the network and resource management infrastructure but also in the business and operation support subsystems arena where DNext falls in. DNext (the Next) is a Cloud-Native Digital Customer Engagement Platform by PiA.
DNext enables transformation from the present mode of application silo-based business and operation support subsystems to The Next future mode of platform-based execution.
DNext enables a fundamental shift from the traditional monolithic or multi-layered apps-based governance model to a next-generation model-driven platform-based governance model; a next-generation platform composed of industry standards-compliant, cloud-native, and ready to scale lego-style components, and each component exposing TM-Forum open APIs resulting in a model-driven set of capabilities ready to be orchestrated in line with the business processes of the service operator.
